This would be me.
Hi there! Welcome to my “about me” page, where I unabashedly talk about how awesome I am! I have been a travel dreamer for nearly as long as I can remember, always wanting to travel but never really taking the thought too seriously. Then, when I was in university, I saw a poster that changed my life. It was advertising a summer course in Rome. Three weeks in the eternal city, exploring the ruins and seeing the sights that had always fascinated me. All the while immersing myself into learning about the history that had intrigued me when it was only touched on in school.
I had a problem though, I was shy and scared. I had never really been away from home, and I had turned down every opportunity to travel alone that had come my way in the past. Eventually I found another student who was interested in going. I didn’t know her, but it felt better than going alone. So I convinced myself that this trip was something I wanted, something I needed, and so I took a deep breath and bought my ticket.
By the time I stepped off the plane at the end of my trip I had learned two very important things about myself. Firstly that I didn’t need other people to travel with me in order to feel safe and have a good time, and secondly, that travel was officially a major goal in my life – I needed more.
Since that day I have made travel a priority. I have integrated it into my education, which brought me to Vancouver, Canada and Los Angeles, California. I have now graduated with an English Degree, a Flash programming diploma, an Applied Studies diploma and a certificate in Mentoring. Now that I have finally finished going through all that school, I am off to travel long term. After finishing all that school I decided to pack up and solo travel across Europe. My trip lasted three months and took me through seven countries.
I want to use this site to take you with me on all of my travels, and share my experiences as much as I can. So if you’re interested, explore my site, and through it join me as I explore the world.
